This sweet clown is Sandy and her little cactus companion is Pepin.

Sandy is a mixed media art doll. Her head, hands and little companion are stone and cos clay sculpted. She is painted with acrylics and pastels. Her body is soft sculpture. She is attached to a wooden box I painted with acrylics. The design I painted on the box matches some designs on the fabric.

Her dress is made out of wool felt, tulle, buttons and cotton fabrics with polka dots and cacti designs. Her hat is made out heavy wool felt and hand stitched with different DMC colors. Her hair is white and pink curl wool.

Sandy measures approx 22” from top of the hat to bottom. Pepin measures 3.5”.
